Welcome Mumbai University IDOL

Distance and Open Learning represents a unique method of delivering education to individuals separated by time or location from educators or institutions, often due to financial, social, or personal reasons. Recognizing the necessity of this approach, the University of Mumbai founded the Directorate of Correspondence Courses in 1971-72. Later, in 1993, it was elevated to the ‘Institute of Distance Education,’ gaining recognition as a full-fledged university entity.
